Separate Quality Inspections from Safety Inspections
Background
Separating Quality inspections from Safety inspections gives users in each group a clearer view of the inspection data relevant to their work. Once separated, your company can manage settings and review lists of inspection templates specific to the Quality and Safety groups.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Admin tool.
- Additional Information:
- Once you separate Quality and Safety inspections, the action is permanent and cannot be undone.
- When the split is performed, all existing inspection types are initially defaulted to Quality.
- Settings for the new Safety Inspections section will be an identical copy of the Quality Inspections settings, which you'll need to reconfigure.
- Templates that do not have a type assigned will display in the Quality Inspections section.
- When the split is complete, a new Safety Inspections tool will appear in the Project level navigation bar.
Steps
- Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
- Under 'Tool Settings', click Inspections.
- Click the General tab.
- Click Separate next to the message about separating safety inspections from quality.
- Read the message in the modal window that appears, which describes the implications of the separation.
- Click I understand.
- Click the radio button next to the name of each inspection template type to assign it to either Quality or Safety.
- Example: Change 'Environmental,' 'Safety,' and 'Safety Hazard' types to Safety.
- Your changes are now saved.
Next Steps
- Once you separate the inspection types, configure the settings for the new Safety Inspections tool at the Project level.
