Create and Manage an On-Demand Sandbox

 In Beta
The On-Demand Sandbox (Beta version) is available for Procore customers as a self-serve option and can be accessed through the Sandbox Management settings in Procore Explore. For details on how to enable Sandbox Management feature, see Manage Features With Procore Explore.

Background

The On-Demand Sandbox functionality allows you to create and manage self-service sandbox environments directly within Procore. These environments match your production environment to facilitate integration testing, user training, and the exploration of beta functionality in an isolated account. Unlike standard environments, Procore does not automatically refresh or delete these sandboxes, giving you complete control over the life cycle of the environment.

Things to Consider

  • Project Limits: Select up to five projects for each sandbox.

  • Data Copy Options: Choose between copying tool settings or including full project data.

  • Lifecycle Management: Perform all creation, refresh, and deactivation tasks manually to meet specific schedule requirements.

  • Beta Testing: Access Open Beta features through Procore Explore to evaluate functionality without impacting the production instance.

  • Required User Permissions: 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Admin tool.
