Add Conditional Logic to Custom Fields in Configurable Fieldsets

To create conditional custom fields for the Observations and Correspondence fieldsets.
Background
In a configurable fieldset, you can create custom fields that display other fields based on their responses. These fields can be marked as required, enabling you to collect the right information at the right time for the specific task and situation.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions
- Conditional custom fields are currently available for the Observations and Correspondence tools.
- You can add conditional logic to custom fields with the single-select field type.
- Multiple custom fields in the same fieldset can have conditions.
- Multiple levels of conditional logic are not supported.
Steps
- Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
- Under 'Tool Settings', click one of the following tools:
- Observations
- Correspondence
- Click the Fieldsets tab.
- Click Edit next to the fieldset you want to edit.
- Locate the single-select custom field for which you want to add conditional logic.
OR
Click Add Custom Field and select one of the following options:- Create New
- Follow steps to Create a New Custom Field.
- Choose Existing
- Click Choose from Existing.
- Mark the checkbox for the custom field.
- Click Add Custom Field.
Note: You must create or select a custom field with the single-select field type.
- Create New
- Click the vertical ellipsis
next to the custom field and select Add Condition. - Select the option that, when selected, will display additional fields.
- Click Add Custom Field to add the field to be displayed when the option is selected.
- Create New
- Follow steps to Create a New Custom Field.
- Choose Existing
- Click Choose from Existing.
- Click Add next to the custom field.
Note: Not all custom field types are available for all tools. See What field types are available for Custom Fields in Procore Tools? - Click Add to confirm.
- Create New
- Optional: To add additional conditional logic, repeat steps 5-8.
- Optional: Select the Required checkbox to set the field as mandatory.
- Click Save Changes.
