Configure Time Entry Settings for Kiosk
Background
Kiosk time entry respects both project and company level Timesheets settings.
The Company level Timesheets settings include:

Project Timesheets Settings

Navigate to the Project level Timesheets tool.

Click the Configure Settings
icon. -
Select the Time Entry Settings for the project.

Select the format for Time Entry on timecards:
-
Total Hours allows users to enter the total number of hours worked.
-
Start Time and Stop Time allows users to enter the exact hour and minute that they started and stopped work, and account for lunch times.

Select the default start and stop times that display on timecards.

Select if 'Employees Can Select Non-Budgeted Items'. This setting controls whether time entry can be restricted to budgeted items only on a project.
Note: This only applies to companies with Task Codes enabled.-
Move the toggle
ON to allow time tracking for non-budgeted items. -
Move the toggle
OFF to restrict tracking to budgeted items only.

Mark what overtime rules to apply to timecards.

Select the Lunch Tracking Settings for the project.

Select the format for Lunch Tracking on timecards:

Total Time tracks the total number of minutes a break was taken.
-
Start and Stop Time tracks the exact times that a person took their break.

None does not track breaks in Timesheets.
-

If tracking lunch breaks, select the default lunch time to display on timecards.

Click Update.
Company Timesheets Settings
Manage Timecard Rounding and Custom Signature Text

Navigate to the company's Timesheets tool.
-
Click the Configure Settings
icon.-
Manage Timecard Rounding.
-
Mark the Timecard Rounding checkbox to enable rounding on timecards.

Select the time increment.
-
Select the rounding direction.
-

Manage Custom Signature Text.
-
In the 'Custom Signature Text' box, enter the message you want to show in the Signature field when a user is signing their time entry.

Click Save.
Manage Overtime
-
Enable and Configure Company Overtime Rules
-
Create Project Overtime Rules and Assign to Projects
Enable Overtime Management and Configure Company Overtime Rules

Navigate to the company's Timesheets tool.
-
Click the Configure Settings
icon. -
Click the Overtime Management tab.
-
Move the 'Enable Overtime Management' toggle
ON. -
Optional: Move the 'Always automatically apply overtime rules when creating time entries' toggle
ON.
Note: If this toggle is off, users entering timesheets can select whether or not to apply overtime rules. -
Configure Overtime Time Types
Important
Time types should match your ERP or payroll system to streamline payment processing. See Configure Payroll Settings.-
If you have already configured the Overtime Time Types, click Edit.

Select the time type to apply to Regular Time.

Select the time type to apply to Overtime Time.

Select the time type to apply to Double Time.
-
Click Next or Done.

Create a 'Company Ruleset' that is applied by default to all projects.
Note: Regular time is applied until employees exceed the thresholds you configure.-
If you have already configured the Company Default Ruleset, click Edit.

Mark the checkbox to Apply Weekly Overtime Rules.

Enter the number of hours in a week after which overtime is applied.

Mark the checkbox to apply Daily Overtime Rules.
-
Enter the number of hours in each day after which overtime time is applied.
-
-
Mark the checkbox to apply Daily Double Time Rules.
-
Enter the number of hours in each day after which double time is applied.
-

Click Save or Enable.
Note
After Overtime Rules have been enabled, you can make changes at any time by clicking Edit for the relevant section.
Create Project Overtime Rules and Assign to Projects

Navigate to the company's Timesheets tool.
-
Click the Configure Settings
icon. -
Create or Edit Rule Sets.
-
Click Create New.
-
Enter the name of the 'Project Rule Set'.
Note: Regular time is applied until employees exceed the thresholds you configure.

Click Edit next to the rule set.
-

Mark the checkbox to Apply Weekly Overtime Rules.
-
Enter the number of hours in a week after which overtime is applied.
-

Mark the checkbox to apply Daily Overtime Rules.
-
Enter the number of hours in each day after which overtime time is applied.
-

Mark the checkbox to apply Daily Double Time Rules.
-
Enter the number of hours in each day after which double time is applied.
-

Save the rule set:
-
Click Save.
Note: You can assign the rule set to projects at a later time by clicking the link in the 'Assign projects' column. -
Click Save and Assign to Projects.

Mark the checkboxes for the projects you want to assign the rule set to.
-
Click Save.
