Below are notable changes for the Procore web application for the month of November 2024.
Procore has improved the Fieldset edit page across all tools supporting fieldsets, providing better context and visibility for how to take actions when creating or editing fieldset. See Create New Configurable Fieldset or Edit Configurable Fieldsets.
The locations heat map can now reflect total items in a location, or all open items in a location. The heat map and legend are dynamic and update based on the filters you select. See View Locations Heat Map and Filter Locations.
When updating boundaries for locations generated from drawings, you can now click on the location or its boundary on the map to edit it. Move the boundary to the desired position and press ENTER to save. See Edit Locations.
Procore recommends only extracting locations from Architectural floor plans. If you try to generate Locations from non-Architectural floor plans, a warning will appear and you will be prompted to deselect the non-Architectural floor plans to ensure accurate locations are generated. See Generate Locations from Drawings and Add Tiered Locations to a Project.
360 Reporting is a native tool built into the Procore platform that offers a complete view of project-specific or company-level data. It enables cross-tool reporting for efficient analysis, provides historical reporting to improve future project success, and integrates all project data in one place, streamlining access to insights with an easy-to-use, out-of-the-box report builder.
Procore's new 'non-editable' option enhances correspondence integrity by disabling editing for correspondence items that are no longer in Draft status. This ensures a stable record of the information all parties received and responded to in the Correspondence tool. Even Admins cannot edit correspondence items that have been created and issued when 'non-editable' is turned on at the company level. However, users can still respond to correspondence items and link related items. Work with your Procore point of contact to enable this functionality for your account, and see Edit a Correspondence Item for more information.
Procore has streamlined the management of Company level inspection templates, allowing admins to associate templates with multiple projects simultaneously. This also allows you to now easily view which projects have a company level inspection template. To learn more, see Assign a Company Level Inspection Template to a Project.
Procore has streamlined the deployment of inspection templates from the project level to the company level, introducing a 'Clone to Company' feature for easy assignment. This feature ensures that valuable insights and efficient processes discovered in one project can be quickly shared and adopted across the entire company, enhancing overall project quality and execution. To learn more, see Clone a Project Inspection Template to a Company.
With this release, a new setting is introduced that allows users to control whether budget line items appear in red when any of their values are negative. This feature provides flexibility for users who prefer not to have line items highlighted in red. When the setting is turned ON, negative values will be displayed in red text on both the budget and PDF, as is currently the case. When the setting is turned OFF, all text will appear in black, except for hyperlinks, regardless of negative values.
Procore is excited to announce the general availability of the Stored Materials on Unit Quantity Contract Invoices, allowing Procore Invoice Management users to bill for and track stored materials directly in Procore’s Unit/Quantity-based subcontractor and owner invoices. These capabilities enhance efficiency and help teams ensure accurate billing. To learn more, see About Stored Materials on Invoices.
