Respond to a Punch List Item (iOS)

To respond to a punch list item that you have been assigned from your iOS mobile device.


Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level users on the project's Punch List tool can resolve a punch list item if they are listed as the Assignee.
    • If you have 'Standard' or 'Read Only' permissions on the Punch List tool and your user account is assigned the 'Resolve Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company' granular permission, you will be able to resolve the punch list item.
  • Additional Information:
    • A status can also be changed from 'Resolved' to 'Unresolved' and vice versa at any time. 


  1. Navigate to the project's Punch List tool using an iOS mobile device.
  2. Tap the punch list item you want to respond to.
  3. In the Assignees section, tap your name.
  4. Respond to the item by selecting a response status and adding an attachment or comment as needed.
    • Change the Response Status: Tap the appropriate status to to indicate whether or not work on an item needs to be completed.
      Note: Although an Assignee can mark the punch list item as 'Resolved,' only the item's Final Approver can mark the item as 'Closed.'
    • Add a Photo: Tap Camera or Attachments to take a photo or select a file from your device to include with your response.
    • Add a Comment: Tap the 'Comment' field to add any additional comment for the punch list item.
  5. Tap Save.
