Respond to a Punch List Item (iOS)

To respond to a punch list item that you have been assigned from your iOS mobile device.


Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level users on the project's Punch List tool can resolve a punch list item only if they are listed as the Assignee.
    • If you have 'Standard' or 'Read Only' permissions on the Punch List tool and your user account is assigned the 'Resolve Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company' granular permission, you will be able to resolve the punch list item.
  • A status can also be changed from 'Resolved' to 'Unresolved' and vice versa at any time. 
  • This asset/item can be viewed or edited in offline mode provided that the asset/item was previously viewed and cached on your mobile device.


  1. Navigate to the project's Punch List tool on your iOS mobile device.
  2. Tap the punch list item to which you want to respond.
  3. Tap the Assignees subtab.
  4. Tap your name.
  5. Respond to the item by performing one or more of the following options:
    • Change the Response Status: Change the status of a punch list item to 'Unresolved' icon-unresolved-ios or 'Ready for Review' icon-punch-review-check-ios.png to indicate whether or not work on an item needs to be completed. Although an  Assignee can mark the punch list item as 'Resolved,' only the item's Final Approver can mark the item as 'Closed.'
    • Add a Comment: Tap the 'Comments' field to add any additional comment for the punch list item.
    • Add a Photo: Tap Add Photo icon to choose from one of the following:
      • Choose Photo from Library: Tap to select and attach photos saved to your iOS mobile device. 
      • Take Photo: Tap to take and upload a new photo from your iOS mobile device.
  6. Tap Update.
