Edit Drawing Markups (iOS)

Objective

To edit drawing markups on the Procore iOS app. 

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • To edit any markups on both the 'Personal' and 'Published' layers, 'Admin' permissions on the project's Drawings tool.
      Note: 'Standard' users can only edit personal and published markups that they have created.
    • Published markups can only be deleted by users with ‘Admin’ permissions on the Drawings tool, unless a user is granted specific permissions to delete published markups.
  • Additional Information:
    • Any changes made to the markups will automatically be updated on the drawing's related layer.

Steps

  1. Open the Procore app on an iOS mobile device. 
  2. Tap the project's Drawings tool. 
  3. Tap the drawing you want to edit markups on.
  4. Tap the markup you want to edit.
  5. While the markup is selected, you can perform the following actions:
    • Link items: Tap Link and select the item that you want to link to the markup. See Link Items to a Drawing (iOS).
      Note: This option is not available for all item types.
    • Copy and paste the markup:
      Note: You can copy and paste the following markup types: Pen, Highlight, Cloud, Box, Oval, Arrow, Line, Double Arrow, and Text.
      • Using Copy action:
        1. Tap Copy on the markup.
        2. Press and hold the markup to get the paste option. Tap Paste.
           Note
          This action deselects the previous markup. The system pastes the markup automatically in the exact coordinates where you pressed and held. The 'Exceeded Maximum Amount of Markups' error banner appears if you attempt to copy more than 100 markups.
      • Using Pin:
        1. Tap the desired pin icon-drawing-markup-pin-ios.png icon. This will display all the information related to the selected pin.  
        2. Click Copy using the horizontal ellipsis icon-ellipsis-options-menu3.png icon.
        3. Move the pin to the area of the drawing where you want to copy it.
        4. Long-press and release to get the paste option. Tap Paste. This will paste the pin to the desired drawing.
    • Duplicate the markup
      • Using Duplicate action: Tap Duplicate for the selected markup. The duplicated markup is automatically selected, allowing you to move it to the desired location within the drawing.
      • Using Pin: Tap the pin icon-drawing-markup-pin-ios.png icon you want to duplicate. This displays all the information related to the selected pin and duplicates it right next to the existing one.
        • Once you publish the duplicated markup, collaborators can also view the same. Learn more about duplicating markups.
    • Resize the markup: Drag the corners of the markup to adjust the size and shape.
    • Move the markup: Drag the markup to a different area of the drawing.
    • Delete the markup: Tap Delete to delete the markup. See Delete Drawing Markups (iOS).
