The Inspections section lets you track inspections performed by third-party inspectors throughout the project. You can use this section only if the dedicated Inspections tool is not enabled on your project.

• Required User Permissions:

  • To create entries:

    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Daily Log tool.

  • To create pending entries as a collaborator:

    • 'Read Only' or 'Standard' permissions to the Daily Log tool with the 'Collaborator Entry Only' granular permission enabled on your permissions template.

1. Open the Procore app on an iOS mobile device and select a project.
   The Tools screen loads, displaying all tools available for this project.

2. Tap the date for which you want to create a new entry.

3. Do one of the following:

   1. Tap the quick create  icon and select Inspections.

   2. Tap the Daily Log tool and tap Inspections. Then, tap the create  icon.

4. Tap into the following fields to enter information:

   Note: Click the caret icon > to expand and v to collapse the field names and their descriptions below.

   Inspections - Field Names and Descriptions

   • Company: Select the company name for which you are creating this log entry.

   • Inspector Name: Enter the name of the person who performed the inspection.

   • Start Time: Select the inspection start time using the hour and minute dropdown menus.

   • End Time: Select the inspection end time using the hour and minute dropdown menus.

   • Inspection Type: Enter the type of inspection that was performed.

   • Inspecting Entity: Enter the type of inspector that performed the inspection.

   • Location: Select a location from the menu. Tap a tiered location to pull up any sub locations. Tap Add to add that location. You may also tap QR in the top right to scan a location's QR code if a team member has Generated Location QR Codes for the jobsite.

   • Area: Enter the area within the specified location that was inspected.

   • Comments: Enter any comments or additional information that further describes the entry (if required).

   • Add Attachments: Tap any of the following options to add photo or file attachments to the entry:

     • Camera: Use your mobile device's camera to take a photo that is automatically added to the entry once you exit the camera.

       • To take a photo without mark up:

         1. Tap the shutter to take a photo.

         2. Tap Done to attach it to the entry.

       • To take a photo with mark up:

         1. Tap Markup to take the photo and immediately mark it up.

         2. Tap the shutter to take a photo.

         3. Mark Up a Photo.
            Note: If you want to save both the original and the marked up photos, mark the Save as New Photo option and tap Save. If you want to only save your marked up photo, clear the Save as New Photo option and tap Overwrite.

         4. Tap Done to attach it to the entry.

     • Photos: Tap to select photos from your device's gallery or from Procore's Photos tool in the project.

       • To add photos from Procore tool:

         1. Tap Procore's Photos tool.

         2. Tap the album that contains photos.

         3. Tap the photos that you want to attach.

         4. Tap Done to attach photos to the entry.

       • To add photos from the device:

         1. Tap Upload Photos.

         2. Tap the required photos.

         3. Tap Add to attach the photos to the entry.

     • Files: Select a file saved on your mobile device and tap on the file to automatically attach it to the entry.

5. Tap Create.
   The log entry is created or added.

    Tip

   1. Click Fix Errors to navigate to the first empty required field (if the required fields are empty or blank).
   2. Click Next Field or Previous Field to view other empty fields. Once all required fields are filled, you are able to create or save the form.
