Respond to a Commitment Workflow (iOS)

Background

The Commitments tool interface has been modernized for the Procore mobile app to provide a more organized and scannable layout. This update allows you to review Purchase Orders and Subcontracts and respond to workflows directly from your mobile devices.

Things to Consider

  • You must have the Procore mobile app installed on an Android device. For more information, refer to the Procore iOS Application Requirements.

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Commitments tool.

    •  To view commitments or respond to workflows, you must have 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the project's Commitments tool.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the Procore mobile app installed on an iOS device. For more information, see Procore iOS Application requirement.

  • The Commitments tool must be active on the project.

  • Commitment Workflow configuration for mobile devices must be performed in the Procore web version.

  • To respond to a workflow, a commitment must have an active workflow triggered with your user account assigned to the current step.

Steps

  1. Open the Procore app on your iOS device.

  2. Navigate to the project's Commitments tool.

  3. Tap the Purchase Orders or Subcontracts tab.

  4. Select the specific commitment that requires your response.
    Note: A banner appears at the top indicating the workflow status and response due date.

  5. Tap View Details.

  6. Review the commitment details by tapping the following sections and click More and then expand for inclusion-exclusion:

    • General: View descriptions, inclusions, and exclusions.

    • Schedule of Values: View the line items associated with the commitment.

    • Change Orders: View any associated commitment change orders.

  7. Tap Respond.

  8. In the response window, do the following:

    • Select a response from the menu, For example, Approved, Reject or Return.

    • Optional: Tap Attach Files and select your document.

  9. Tap Submit.
    Note: Once submitted, the workflow status updates and synchronizes automatically across both mobile and web platforms.
