Why can't I install an authenticator app for MFA on my device?

CLOSED Beta

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is currently in closed beta. This functionality is not available to a general audience at this time.

Beta participants have already been selected. Procore is not accepting additional requests to join the closed beta at this time.

Background

If a company you work with in Procore enables a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirement for its users, you will need to install and configure an authenticator app to be able to log in.

An authenticator app, like Google Authenticator or Okta Verify, will provide you with a secret code to enter along with your username and password when logging in to Procore. MFA helps keep company data stored in Procore safe and secure.

Answer

If your device is managed by your company, you may not have permission to install new apps. Instead of installing an app yourself, you can contact your company's IT department to ask that they install the appropriate application for you. If you prefer, you also have the option to install an authenticator app on a personal device, like your mobile phone.

It's important to comply with your company's policies when selecting or installing a new application. If you have questions, contact your company's IT department for guidance.
