What is the Draft RFI Agent? (Beta)
Answer
The Draft RFI Agent beta is a new, intelligent feature in Procore designed to enhance your Request for Information (RFI) process. It helps you write better RFIs and surface relevant information from project documents. This feature is an exciting new improvement that leverages AI to streamline communication and potentially reduce the number of RFIs sent to the design team.
How does the agent help me write an RFI?
If you have a question, for instance, from a subcontractor regarding a door seal or door hardware, you can paste it into the RFI agent. The agent will then suggest a subject (e.g., "Door Seal and Hardware Issue"). You can then apply this draft to your RFI or make further adjustments.
Can the Draft RFI Agent help me find answers before I submit an RFI?
Yes, it can. Before submitting, you can use the "Find related item" button. This prompts Procore Assist to search existing project data for any information that might help answer your question.
What kind of information does the "Find related item" feature provide?
The feature generates a report from Procore Assist that lists documents it deems helpful, provides a brief overview of each document, and explains why it might be useful to review. This could include previous RFIs (e.g., RFI 351 for hardware), relevant specifications (like door hardware or integrated door opening specs), or submittals related to the topic.
What if the agent finds an answer in a previous RFI?
If the agent finds a previous RFI with an official answer to your question, you can open that RFI and review the information. This means you don't need to duplicate the effort by submitting a new RFI for an already answered question.
How can I participate in the open beta?
To get started with the Draft RFI Agent, you must Enable Assist first.
How can I provide feedback about my experience?
Please provide feedback by reaching out to support or to your Procore point of contact.
