Common Questions about Apps and the Procore App Marketplace

Here are answers to some common questions we receive regarding Apps, Integrations, and the Procore Marketplace.

Understanding Apps & Integrations

  • What is an app? An app (or integration) is a software program or service built by Procore, a Procore client, or a third party that integrates with the Procore API to extend the platform's core functionality.
  • Marketplace Apps vs. Custom Integrations:
    • Marketplace Apps: Procore and Procore Technology Partners build Marketplace apps. You can find apps listed on marketplace.procore.com and must be a Company Admin to install them.
    • Custom Integrations: Procore clients build Custom Integrations for their internal systems. These integrations run exclusively within the client's account.
  • Is there a limit to how many Apps I can use? No. A Company Admin can install and configure an unlimited number of apps in a company's Procore account.

Building & Suggesting Apps

  • Can I suggest a new app? Yes. Go to marketplace.procore.com and click Post an Idea in the top-right corner or directly visit feedback.procore.com. Access to the Procore Feedback Forum is restricted to active customers and you must sign in. To learn how to use this forum, see this guide: Procore Feedback Forum
  • How do I build an app?
    • To build and list a public app, click Build an App in the top-right corner of the Procore Marketplace. This opens the Technology Partner Overview page on the Procore Developers site at developers.procore.com.
    • To build a custom integration, go to developers.procore.com and click Sign Up to get access to the Procore API.
  • Is developer support available? Yes. Procore's API Support team assists partners with custom integrations. For details, visit Developer Support at developers.procore.com/support.

Support, Security & Costs

  • Who supports my apps?
    • Apps labeled Built by Procore are supported by Procore Technologies, Inc. See the full list on marketplace.procore.com/listings/built-by.
    • App built by Procore Technology Partners are supported by the partner who built it. See the specific app's Marketplace listing for specific details and contact information.
  • Are Procore Marketplace apps secure? All listed apps must pass a strict set of technical requirements to help your team ensure security.
  • Are Procore Marketplace apps free? Cost varies by app. Each publisher manages its own pricing and terms. Check the individual app's Marketplace listing for specific details and contact information.

Managing Apps & Beta Trials

  • What does 'Beta' mean on a Marketplace app listing? It means the app's publisher is running a limited trial for that integration. To learn how to request access from publisher, click Contact on the individual app's Marketplace listing.
  • What happens when I uninstall an embedded Marketplace app? Uninstalling a Marketplace app immediately removes it as an option for any Procore projects and stops API calls. Clients do not need to manually delete any project-level configurations.
