Sending an invitation to qualify with Compass to Subcontractors
The prequalification process is handled online at www.compass.com. This process is done directly between the subcontractor and Compass.
During the bidding process, you must look up a subcontractor’s “Q score.” This can be located in Compass by searching for the company name. You cannot carry a company that is in Red. If the subcontractor is Grey/Black, you will need to reach out to the company and let them know that they need to complete the process with Compass as soon as possible.
If the company is listed, check the “Q Score color”:
Red: Either information is missing, or the subcontractor should not be included in the KAST estimate.
Yellow: Subcontractor may be used; however, OPS/ Upper management should be aware of this.
Green: Subcontractor is approved to be used.
Black: The subcontractor has been contacted to start the prequalification process; however, the information has not yet been processed.
If the company is not listed, send them an invitation to qualify through Compass. Also, send the subcontractor an email to let them know that you have sent them a link through Compass and request that they register with Compass.
