Adding Logistics Model Content

Objective

  • How to place, edit, and customize 3D Resources, ie. 3D model content, from the cmBuilder content library such as Fencing, Equipment, etc. 
    • Note:  the cmBuilder resource content library has a wide variety of 3D model content available that allows for a detailed 3D logistics plan.  This content is also customizable but also can be selected by specific vendor.  For example, if you are using a specific brand of crane the library likely has it. 

Adding Resources & Logistics Content

  • To add resources such as Fencing. Click on the Resources tab on the left side of the screen.
  • A new tab will pop up on the right side of the screen. In there, you can scroll through all the resources available.
    • You could type on the search bar what you are looking for or click on the arrows to search by category.

  • Once you locate the Fence you need. Click on it and a new Tab will show on the right side of the screen
  • On this new tab you can pick the type of drawing line.

  • You can proceed to draw on the model the fence outline and click Confirm when you are done

  • After you click Confirm, you have the option of changing a few settings
    • At this point click on Adjust and this will allow you to change the Height and Length of the Fence
    • You also have the option to change the color of the Fence
    • Further down on the tab you can also adjust the timeline of the fence

Adding Cranes

  • To add resources such as a Crane. Click on the Resources tab on the left side of the screen
  • A new tab will pop up on the right side of the screen. In there, you can scroll through all the resources available.
    • You could type on the search bar what you are looking for or click on the arrows to search by category

  • Once you locate the Crane you need. Click on it and a new Tab will show on the right side of the screen.
  • Place Crane in the model.

  • After the Crane is placed, you have the option of changing a few settings
    • At this point click on Adjust and this will allow you to change many parameters such as Boom Length, Jib Length, Rotation, Etc.
    • You also have the option to reposition the crane if needed
    • Further down on the tab you can also adjust the timeline of the Crane
