Kishor Shrestha

Bio

Dr. Kishor Shrestha earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Tribhuvan University, Nepal), and worked for approximately nine years in the construction industry in Nepal and UAE (where he was involved in Heavy Civil and Building Construction projects as an engineer from a general contractor and an engineering firm) before starting his graduate study in the US. He earned his master’s in Construction Management (University of Nevada, Las Vegas), and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering/Management (University of Nevada, Las Vegas).

His research focuses on Performance-Based Contracting and Economic Analysis of Highway Assets including life-cycle cost analysis. Kishor is working with the Washington State Department of Transportation and Pacific Northwest Transportation Consortium for his current research projects. He's authored two book chapters, nine peer-reviewed journals, and sixteen conference papers. Kishor is also the reviewer of the Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, ASCE; Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction, ASCE; Journal of Automation in Construction; Journal of Construction Innovation; Associated Schools of Construction; and Construction Research Congress, ASCE.

Kishor is a Profession Engineer and LEED-certified individual. Before moving to Washington State University, Kishor was in the Civil Engineering department at the Montana Technological University in Butte, Montana.
