Add a Related Item to a Task

Objective

To add related items to a task at the Project level.

Background

With the Tasks tool, you can add related items to a task using the Related Items tab.  To learn more about related items, see What are 'related items' in Procore?

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions
  • Additional Information:
    • For a selection to appear in the 'Type' menu, the corresponding tool must be an active tool on the project. See Add and Remove Tools from a Project.
    • For a selection to appear in the 'Description' menu, you must be granted the appropriate permission to view that item in the corresponding Procore tool. 

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Tasks tool.
  2. Find the task you want to add a related item to.
  3. Click View.
  4. Click the Related Items tab.
  5. Click Link Related Item.
  6. Choose the type of item you want to add.
  7. Select the items in Procore that you would like to add.
    Note: The date field will be automatically filled with the date the item was put into Procore.
  8. Optional: Add any notes to clarify why the item is related to the task.
  9. Click Link
