Search for and Filter Specifications

Objective

To use the search bar and filter settings to find a specific specification in the project's Specifications tool.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Read Only' or higher permissions on the Specifications tool.
  • Additional Information:
    • The search tool respects any selected filter parameters (including "set" and "division") and limits the scope of the search to the filtered results.

Steps

Filter Specifications by Division or Set

  1. Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
  2. In the Specifications tab, decide how you want to filter the list:
    • Filter by division: Select the division from the drop-down list. 
    • Filter by a set: Select 'Current' to view the most recently published revisions or select one of the listed sets. 

Search for a Specification

  1. Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
  2. In the Specifications tab, enter your search criteria in the Search field. 
    Note: Procore searches the following fields to return its results:
    • Division
    • Number
    • Set Name
    • Title
  3. Click the Search icon-search.png icon or press ENTER on your keyboard to start the search.
