Update Activity Progress
Background
Updating progress is essential for keeping the project team informed of site productivity. In Procore, the Status of a task is a dynamic calculation. The system compares the Percent Complete you enter against the current date and the scheduled finish date to determine if a task is "In Progress," "Late," or "Completed".
Things to Consider

Required User Permissions: 'Standard' level permissions or higher on the project's Scheduling tool.

Master vs. Look-Ahead: In Option 1 (Read-Only), you should perform progress updates within the Look Ahead tab to provide the most granular field data.
Steps
Method 1: Update via the Gantt Chart (Graphical)

Navigate to the project's Scheduling tool.

Locate the taskbar on the Gantt chart.

Click and drag the white arrow at the bottom of the taskbar to the right.

Note: The shaded area within the bar will increase to visually represent the work finished.

Method 2: Update via the Task Table

Locate the % Complete column in the schedule table.

Click into the cell for the desired task.

Type the numerical percentage (e.g., "50") and press ENTER.
Method 3: Update via Task Details

Double-click the colored taskbar on the Gantt chart to open the Task Details side panel.

Enter the value in the % Complete field.

Click Save.
