View Inclusions/Exclusions on a Subcontract

Also available on

Objective

To view inclusions and exclusions for subcontracts in the Project level Commitments tool.

Background

When creating subcontracts, it is important to explicitly state what is included and not included in the agreement. To ensure this information is captured and documented, the Commitments tool provides an Inclusions and Exclusions field in the commitment contract:

  • Inclusions describe the actions, items, services, and tasks that are included in the scope of work.
  • Exclusions describe the actions, items, services, and tasks that are not included in the scope of work.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • If a subcontract is marked Private:
      • 'Admin' permission on the project's Commitments tool.
        OR
      • 'Read-Only' or 'Standard' permission on the project's Commitments tool and you must be a member of the 'Private' list on the subcontract.
      • OR
'Read-Only' or 'Standard' permission on the project's Commitments tool with the 'View Private Subcontracts' granular permission enabled on the permission template. This permission allows you to view the Change Orders tab on the subcontract.
    • If a subcontract is NOT marked Private, 'Read-Only' permissions or higher on the Commitments tool.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Commitments tool.
  2. Click the Summary or Detailed tab.
  3. Locate the subcontract in the list and click View.
  4. Under Additional Information section, view the information in the Inclusions and Exclusions fields.
