View Change Orders

Also available on

Objective

To view all change orders submitted from the project's Commitments or Prime Contract tool.

Background

The Change Orders tool was designed as a viewing tool to provide project team's with a central place to view all of the change orders in a project's Commitments or Prime Contract tool. While you can view all contracts on a project, you cannot create new change orders from the tool. Instead, you create change orders by following these steps:  Create a Commitment Change Order (CCO) or Create a Prime Contract Change Order (PCCO)

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Read-Only' and 'Standard' permission or higher on the project's Change Orders tool.
      AND
    • Your user profile must also be added as a member of the 'Private' drop-down list on the contract.
 Important
  • When a user who has ‘None’ permission on the Change Orders tool is added to the ‘Private’ drop-down list on a prime contract, that user can view related change orders in both the ‘Draft’ and ‘Void’ status.
  • Users with ‘Admin’ permission on the Prime Contracts tool are permitted to view all Prime Contracts Change Orders (PCCOs) in all statuses from the Change Orders tool.
  • If you been granted the 'View Private Purchase Orders' or 'View Private Subcontracts' granular permission for the project's Commitments tool, those permissions only apply when viewing 'Private' change order data from within the Commitments tool. Please note that granular permissions do NOT extend to the project's Change Orders tool. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Permissions Template.
 Steps
  1. Navigate to the project's Change Orders tool.
  2. Click the Prime Contracts tab.
