Enable or Disable Equipment for Automatic Project Tracking

Company Administrators can enable the Equipment - Geofence & Telematics Based Project Tracking beta in Procore Explore. (US 1 | US 2 | UK)

In the Project level Locations tool, you can set up site boundary locations to create geofences.

After you set up geofences, you can configure automated project tracking to automatically update the equipment 'Onsite' field via a telematics connection. When an equipment GPS location is detected inside our outside the geofence, the system updates the equipment's Onsite field accordingly.

This tutorial provides steps to select which pieces of equipment are automatically tracked.

Prerequisites

  1. Configure Geofences for Equipment Telematics

  2. Configure Automated Project Tracking for Equipment

Steps

Enable or Disable a Single Equipment Record

  1. Navigate to the Company level Equipment tool.

  2. Click the equipment ID for the record.

  3. Click the Telematics tab.

  4. Move the Automated Equipment Tracking toggle Icon Toggle On ON.

Bulk Enable or Disable

  1. Navigate to the Company level Equipment tool.

  2. Mark the checkbox for each equipment record you want to manage Automated Project Tracking for.

  3. In the bulk actions menu, click More Options and select from the following:

    • Enable Automated Project Tracking

    • Disable Automated Project Tracking
