Add a User to Future Projects in Your Company Directory

Objective

To add an existing user to future projects in the Company level Directory tool.

Background

Some users will work on all of your projects. You can update users to be automatically added to all newly created projects in your company's account.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions
  • Before adding an existing user to all of the projects in your company's Procore account, ensure that an appropriate project permissions template is available. See Manage Project Permissions Templates.
  • Users with the granular permissions can only add other users to projects that they belong to.
  • When added to a project, the user is automatically added to the corresponding Project Directory.

Steps

Add a User to Projects from Viewing their Profile

 In Beta

This functionality can be enabled in Procore Explore by joining the beta for Bulk Add Users to Projects – Assign users to many projects faster from the Company Directory.

  1. Navigate to the Company level Directory tool.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Click View next to the user you want to add to future projects.
  4. Click the Projects tab.
  5. Click the vertical ellipsis icon-ellipsis-vertical.png and select Manage Future Projects.
  6. Select the user's 'Default Project Permission Template'.
  7. Move the toggle icon-toggle-on.png ON for 'Add user to all new projects in [company]'.
  8. Click Save.

Add a User to Projects from Editing their Profile

  1. Navigate to the Company level Directory tool.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Click Edit next to the user.
  4. Locate the 'New Project Settings' section. 
  5. Mark the checkbox to 'Add [user] to all new projects in [company]'.
  6. Click Save.
