Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Specifications tool.

Steps

You can compare two specification revisions or different specification sections directly in the mobile viewer:

  1. Open a specification section in the Specifications tool on your iOS device.

  2. Tap the horizontal ellipsis Icon Ellipsis Horizontal icon in the top right corner and select Document Compare.

  3. Select a comparison method:

    • Tabbed: Allows you to switch between the Base Document and Comparison document using top tabs.

    • Overlay: Superimposes both documents with color-coded transparency highlights to show visual layout differences.

  4. Select the specification section or revision you want to compare against and tap Compare.

  5. (Optional) Tap the horizontal ellipsis Icon Ellipsis Horizontal icon menu while in comparison mode to toggle Semantics, switch comparison modes, or tap Exit Comparison to return to standard view

Overlay comparison requires the selected document to have at least two revisions. If a document has no other revisions, only Tabbed comparison mode will be available.
