Set up Xero Tracking Categories for Projects


To create the Tracking Category "Project".


In order for Xero to link Procore and Xero data, the integration uses a tracking category called "Project".

Things to Consider

  • You will need permissions to create tracking categories in Xero.
  • Xero is limited to two active tracking categories at a time. You must ensure that one of these is "Project".


  1. Log into Xero and go to Settings -> General Settings -> Tracking.
  2. Click on "Add a Tracking Category".
  3. Name it "Project".
