Using myCOI for Certificate of Insurance Verification

Opus partners with myCOI to verify that you meet the insurance requirements set forth in our agreements. Providing proof of insurance through myCOI is mandatory for all vendors.

What is myCOI?

myCOI is responsible for tracking and verifying that your certificate of insurance meets the requirements specified in your agreement with The Opus Group. myCOI will work directly with your insurance agent to obtain a compliant certificate but will not dictate policy terms. It is your insurance agent’s responsibility to discuss any necessary policy amendments with you.

How Does This Affect You?

  • Certificate Submission:

    • You will no longer provide a Certificate of Insurance directly to The Opus Group.
    • All certificates, including renewals, will be submitted to myCOI directly through your insurance agent using the myCOI Agent Portal.
  • Communication:

    • If your insurance agent fails to respond to myCOI's communications, you will be notified via email. Please work with your insurance agent to address any issues.
    • It is your responsibility to inform myCOI of any changes to your insurance agent or their contact information.

Registration:

  • You will receive a registration email from registration@myCOItracking.com. Follow the instructions in the email to complete your registration with myCOI. The registration must be completed within 21 days of receiving the email.

Viewing Insurance Compliance Status:

  • You can view your insurance compliance status in our portal. Once logged in, navigate to My Organization or Applications for Payment where the information is summarized on the dashboard.
