To ensure Koester Construction remains legally protected, it is crucial that we have executed subcontracts on file for all subcontractors on-site. Project teams should review and ensure compliance with this requirement as soon as possible.

What to Do if ICE Visits Your Jobsite:

1. Remain calm. Treat the situation professionally.
2. Immediately contact Koester Representatives:

   4. If you aren’t able to reach any of the above, please contact the Koester office at 515-986-5500
3. Verify Credentials:
   1. Request to see the agents’ identification.
4. Do Not Obstruct:
   1. Do not interfere with the agents’ investigation or obstruct their work.
   2. Do not answer questions about employees, subcontractors, or immigration status unless directed by a Koester representative or required by a valid judicial warrant.
   3. Politely remind agents of potential safety risks on the construction site.
   4. Do not attempt to translate for agents or employees.
5. Document:
   1. Note any statements made by the agents or contractors.
6. Notify Subcontractor Main Offices:
   1. Project Engineer or Coordinator should immediately contact subcontractor main offices to inform them of the situation.
7. Do not talk to the media. Direct all questions to the office.
