Tolls
Department: Tool Department
Topic: Company Vehicles
Process: Tolls
Objective
A toll road, also known as a turnpike or tollway, is a public or private road (almost always a freeway) for which a fee (or toll) is assessed for passage. It is a form of road pricing typically implemented to help recoup the costs of road construction and maintenance.
Things to Consider
Tolls are now in majority of US states.
Tolls price in all different ranges and can change within minutes.
Tolls
- Before leaving your location, the employee should map his/her route.
- Mapping the route will help the employee figure out the toll name. Not all tolls are the same name
- When passing through a toll. The employee should make a mental note of time and date.
- Toll roads now let you pass through without stopping, now tolls read the license plate number.
- No cash needed.
- When the employee gets to their destination contact the Administrator Assistant.
- The Administrator Assistant will look up the toll and pay the toll fee (the company has an account for toll fees)
- It takes approximately two weeks for the fee to come in.
- They will need when and where the employee went through the toll and need to have the license plate number.
- Telling/reminding the Administrator Assistant is the employees responsibility.
