Vehicle Tickets and Fines
Objective
The purpose of a ticket or fine is to deter drivers from driving too fast and putting themselves and others on the road at risk.

Things to Consider
All employees must report any ticket or fine they received when driving a company vehicle. This includes any moving violations (physically pulled over), red light cameras, mobile speed cameras, radar gun mounted in vehicle, and fixed speed cameras. Fine or a ticket includes but not limited to speeding, reckless driving, and no seat belt.
All tickets are the responsibility of the driver.

Moving Violations
- If the employee gets pulled over and is issued a speeding ticket.
- Drivers are required to report all ticket violations received within 24 hours to Human Resources and Safety Director.
- The driver is responsible for the violation ticket.
- If the driver is unable to pay for the ticket HR or safety director will put you in contact with payroll to discuss payment options.
- This information will be placed into a database to record moving violations.
- If the employee receives 3 moving violations within a year, the employee’s driving privilege will be revoked from company vehicles.
- Any moving violations, fines, accidents, DUI’s while driving their personal vehicle that could jeopardize driving a company vehicle must be reported to the Safety Director and HR. They will determine if anything will be done regarding revoking driving company vehicle privileges. This will be on a case-by-case basis.
Red light Cameras, Fix Speeding Cameras, and Mobile Speed Cameras
- These tickets will be sent directly to the office.
- The office will give the ticket to the Tool department.
- The Tool Department will establish who is responsible for the ticket.
- The Department will then contact the Safety director.
- The Safety Director will then contact the employee responsible for the ticket.
- The Safety Director will contact the employee. The director will discuss the ticket then put that employee in contact with payroll, to discuss payment options.
Important: All employees must report tickets if they have knowledge of them. Eventually the ticket will surface to the company and could result in disciplinary action.
