Company Vehicle Policies
Objective
The company vehicle use policy is a legally binding agreement that clearly defines what Koester Construction will and won’t allow when an eligible employee uses a company vehicle.
Having this policy in place protects the company if an employee gets hurt or injured while using a company vehicle or the misuse of it that causes property damage and or bodily injury to others.
Things to Consider
- Record and report everything. Fleet vehicles tend to require a driver to keep a closer eye on the vehicle than their personal vehicle.
- Follow through on your daily inspections.
- Always adhere to traffic laws.
- Determine when to use the company vehicle or your personal vehicle.
- Stay on top of maintenance (report any maintenance issue to the Tool/Equipment Department)
