Driver Complaints on Company Vehicles

Objective

Settling driver complaints is that it allows organizations to see where they need improvement. If an employee is not living up to company expectations, the company can evaluate that complaint and attempt to make improvements.

Background

Employees are expected to be aware that they are contributing to the company reputation when driving a company vehicle and are to drive in a manner that presents a positive public image. Employees are expected to always drive in a safe, responsible, and courteous manner.  Driving a company vehicle is a privilege.

Steps

  1. If a complaint is received in the office. The call will be transferred to Human Resources.

  2. Human Resources will then ask for details regarding the complaint from the caller.

  3.  Human Resources will then contact the employee about the complaint made against them.

  4. Human Resources will get details from the employee of their side of the story of what happened.

  5. Human Resources will then investigate and review personal driving records, including complaints, accidents, and moving violations, to determine if an employee’s driving record indicates a pattern of unsafe or irresponsible driving.

  6. Complaints received about an employee’s driving recklessly or disorderly conduct may be grounds for revoking their driving privilege of a company vehicle.
