Creating Milestones

1. Creating Milestones:
   • In this step you are going to setup different major milestones or schedule activities that will be used to develop the logistics phasing and sequencing for the project. This will help to define the timeline, link model objects to specific milestones, and organize the flow of information.  
     • Suggest watching "cmBuilder Tutorial 3:  "Scenario Workspace Overview" located here.

Adding Milestones

• To create a new milestone or schedule activity, navigate to the top center where it says Project Start (default milestone) and then click the plus sign next to the three dots.  This will immediately create the new milestone and each milestone noted below will need to be created
  1. Note:  Each milestone can be edited by clicking the “three dots” next to the milestone name

List of Milestones

• Milestones that will need to be Setup Listed Below:
  1. Project Startup - This milestone is for initial setup only as you will need to put all models + overlays in this milestone
  2. Existing Conditions - This milestone should include existing site and where the drone data will start to be imported
  3. Site Mobilization - This milestone should include fencing, gates, traffic flow, and early work needed to get the site prepped such an excavation and sheet piles
  4. Foundations - This milestone should include all foundations at the lowest level, cranes, and any other equipment for the structure
  5. First Elevated Deck - This milestone should include structure from the first elevated deck and below
  6. Mid way - This milestone should include structure for the podium or mid-way complete and all safety components such as railing, safety netting, outriggers, etc.
  7. Top Out - This milestone should include the structure topping out, lower level envelope, and hoists and all safety components such as railing, safety netting, outriggers, etc.
  8. Envelope Complete - This milestone should include the entire envelope complete and site work completed
