Adding Labels and Callouts to Model Objects
Objective
- Labels and callouts can be used to define areas, notes, resource identification, traffic, etc. Learn more about how to customize the labels and callouts using the Label and Callout tools.
- Note: Labels can be sequenced with each milestone for presentation purposes

ADDING LABELS AND CALLOUTS

Best Practice: To add a label or callout, make sure the view is in 3D.
- Hover mouse over “Annotate” tab on the left toolbar and then select “Label” or “Callout” from the options

- Hover the label over the object/zone and left click to “place” Note: the default size of the label is small and black but it can be customized.
- Adjust location and rotation using the “Move”, “Rotate”, and “Adjust” (only for callout) options in top right toolbar.
- Left click on the Axis desired to move (X, Y, or Z) and drag/rotate the zone as desired to align.
- Customize the label name, milestones, text size, color and background, alignment, font style and border (vs no border), and if desired can also be projected on terrain (toggle on/off).
- Best Practice is to increase text size and adjust text and background color to be easily readable.
- Click “Done” when desired label/callout is complete.
