Import Submittals into your Project Level Submittals Tool (Procore Imports)


To import submittals into your Submittals tool with Procore Imports.


You can use the Procore Imports app to self-import your submittals in bulk to your Project's Submittals tool. This will add as many submittals to your project as you need without having to manually add each submittal in Procore.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 
    • 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Submittals tool.
      Note: Granular Permissions are not supported in the Procore Imports application.
  • Additional Information:
    • This feature is only available to computers running Windows 7 or newer. See Install Procore Imports.
    • This import can only be used to add submittals. Your import will not edit or delete any existing submittals in your project.




  1. Prepare and format your submittals for import to Procore. See Prepare Submittals for Import to the Procore Imports App.


  1. In your Procore Imports App, on the "Companies & Projects" page, select the company and project you want to import submittals into.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. Under the 'Submittals' section, click Add New Submittals.
  4. Choose from the following options:
    • Save & Open Blank Template: Select this option to open, fill out, and save an Excel template for your submittals. See Prepare Submittals for Import to the Procore Imports App.
    • Skip this step: Select this option to upload a completed XLSX or CSV file of your submittals to Procore.
  5. Choose Select Template File to upload an XLSX or CSV file of your submittals from your local device.
  6. Click Process.
  7. Review your submittals.
    Note: If there are any errors in the import, a list of the errors will be provided. You can then "Save Errors to continue" to download a copy of the errors to compare against your original import file.
  8. Choose from the following options:
    • Save records to computer: Select this option to save your records as an XLSX or CSV file and return to complete the import process at another time.
    • Import to Procore: Select this option to proceed with the import process.
  9. Confirm your decision to import your submittals by typing your project's name in the text field and clicking Proceed.
  10. Click Finish.
