Show or Hide Takeoff Layers
Objective
To show or hide takeoff layers in the Bid Board or Estimating tool.
Background
A takeoff extracts quantities from a drawing or model and associates with items in your cost catalog to create estimates. You can hide or show takeoff layers to isolate the components you want to work on.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions for the Bid Board tool.
- Required User Permissions for the Estimating tool.
Steps
Show or Hide a Single Takeoff Layer
- Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.
OR
Navigate to the company's Bid Board tool and select a project. - Click the Takeoffs tab.
- Next to the takeoff layer you want to show or hide, take one of the following actions:
- Click the show
icon to change the takeoff layer from shown to hidden. - Click the hidden
icon to change the takeoff layer from hidden to shown.
- Click the show
Bulk Show or Hide Takeoff Layers
- Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.
OR
Navigate to the company's Bid Board tool and select a project. - Click the Takeoffs tab.
- In the Takeoff list take one of the following actions:
- Click the show
icon to change all takeoff layers from shown to hidden. - Click the hidden
icon to change all takeoffs layer from hidden to shown.
- Click the show
