Procore

2020

Below are the notable changes to the project's Change Orders tool in 2020.

Improved Search now includes the Change Orders Tool (9/14/2020)

Procore has updated its search capabilities to provide users with more powerful and efficient search results. Procore's project search now looks at the following fields for matches when you perform a search for purchase orders: Number (#), Title, Bill To, Ship ToContract Company, Description, Payment Terms, and Ship Via. The system also searches these fields for subcontracts: Number (#), Title, Contract Company, Description, Inclusions, and Exclusions. For both purchase orders and subcontracts, Procore has also added type-ahead search capabilities on the Contract # and Title fields. See Search for Items Within a Project Using Procore Search.

New 'Procore Labor Productivity Cost' Budget View (7/14/2020)

Procore released a new 'Procore Labor Productivity Cost' view in the Company Admin tool's list of standard budget views. With this view, you can now add and import production units to a project's budget in Procore's Financial Management tools:  Budget, Change Events, and Change Orders. It also interacts with the Timecards, Timesheets and the Reports tools. To learn more, see Project Financials: New 'Procore Labor Productivity Cost' Budget View.

Consistent & Custom Units of Measure (3/31/2020)

If your organization uses a Unit of Measure (UOM) that is not already in Procore's Unit of Measure Master List, you can add a custom unit of measure. For example, you might want to add the unit of measurement: gallon (gal) to give your users the ability to add items for fuel and/or liquid costs in one of Procore's Project Financials tools. With this update, you'll greater flexibility and improved consistency, particularly for users in specialized trades who require additional units of measure. See Add a Unit of Measure to the Unit of Measure Master List.

Removed Sidebar from Change Orders Tool (2/26/2020)

As part of a larger design effort to progressively remove the right sidebar from all Procore tools, Procore has removed the side bar from the Change Orders tools. To learn more, see Change Orders: Removed Sidebar from Change Orders Tool

Enhanced Financial Line Item Experience Added to Change Orders Tool (2/25/2020)

Procore has released enhanced financial line item experience for the Change Orders tool. This update is a next step to Procore's larger initiative, which was released in January 2020, that added the enhanced line item experience to Procore's Project Financials tools. For more detail about the enhanced experience, see Project Financials: Enhanced Financial Line Item Experience.
