Edit a Column

Required User Permissions:

'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Admin tool.

Additional Information:

You can only edit custom columns.

Custom columns display an Info (i) icon next to their name in the column list, whereas standard/locked columns display a Lock icon.

Steps
-
Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.

Under 'Tool Settings', click Budget.

Select the Columns tab.

Locate your custom column using the Columns panel filters:

Search. Enter the column name in the search bar to filter columns by name.

Column Type. Click on the drop-down list and select one or more column types.

Reportable Column. Click to filter columns by one of the following options:

Yes. Select this option from the drop-down list to filter for columns included in the Single Tool budget reports.

No. Select this option from the drop-down list to filter for columns excluded from the Single Tool budget reports.

Click to select a custom column from the column list.

Update the column configurations as needed:
-
Calculated Column. You can change the Default Column Name, Format, Include column in Single Tool Budget reports, Formula, and Display subtotals and grand totals configurations.

Forecast to Complete Column. You can change the Default Column Name, Include column in Single Tool Budget reports, and Formula configurations.

Source Column. You can change the Default Column Name, Include column in Single Tool Budget reports, Data Source, and other advanced configurations as available for the selection.

(Optional) Review dependencies under the details panel:

Views Associated. Click the caret
icon to see all budget or forecasting views using this column. Click any hyperlinked view name to navigate to it. -
Columns Associated. Click the caret
icon to view calculated columns that incorporate this column into their formula.

Save your changes:

Click Save to update the existing column.

Click Save as New Column to duplicate your updates as a new column while preserving the original column.
