What is a Procore AI Agent?

Procore AI Agents automate workflows and execute tasks based on user-defined instructions. They are designed to save time, reduce repetitive manual work, and maximize the value of your Procore data. 

For example, build a Schedule Risk Agent  that proactively analyzes a project's schedule and identifies potential risks. If a delay in one task occurs, the Agent could predict the downstream impact on other trades (like painting, glazing, etc.) and automatically notify the affected project managers and contractors. 

Once an Agent is built, users can run it directly through Procore Assist, which is available in the side panels of Procore tools. 

 Why Use AN Agent Instead of Assist?

Procore Assist can execute single instructions given in a natural language chat. However, for tasks that you or your team need to repeat frequently, creating an Agent offers significant benefits:

  • Consistency: Agents reduce the risk of human error by ensuring that complex, multi-step processes are performed correctly each time. 
  • Precision: It's easier and more effective to design an Agent to perform specialized tasks.
  • Time Savings: Instead of rewriting the same instructions for Assist each time, you can simply run the Agent with a single click from the Assist sidebar.
  • Automation and Proactivity: Agents can be designed to perform complex, proactive tasks, such as analyzing a project schedule and automatically notifying affected team members of potential delays.

Agent Capabilities

Procore Agents can be designed to perform a variety of actions within Procore such as the following: 

  • Execute Instructions: Run a predefined set of steps and logic as configured by the Agent author.
  • Access and Analyze Data: Pull information from your Procore tools, such as Daily Logs, RFIs, and Submittals.
  • Generate Content: Create Procore items based on user inputs. 
  • Perform Actions: Create or send items in Procore, such as sending email notifications about a task.
