PHASED RELEASE - From Open Beta to GENERAL AVAILABILITY (GA)

This documentation describes the GA version of the new Locations feature. Users will not have access to all of the features described in this documentation until the GA version of the Locations feature is released to their company. Three versions of Locations are currently available:

  • GA. This is the latest version of Locations, and is being gradually released to all accounts over the next several weeks.
  • Open Beta. This is the earlier version of Locations, and does not contain all features described in this documentation. Users with the Open Beta experience will see a 'Beta' label on the Locations screen in the application.
  • Legacy. This is the oldest version of Locations. It will soon be replaced for all users by the new GA experience. See Project Admin Documentation for legacy Locations documentation.

Features that become available when the GA experience is enabled are:

  • The ability to leverage the new locations screen with pre-existing lists of locations.
  • The ability to add new locations and swap drawing revisions for existing locations.

Objective

To view your project's locations and associated items.

Background

Once you've generated a tiered list of project locations from your drawings, you can view them using the Locations feature. The Locations feature allows you to edit locations themselves, boundaries for locations overlaid on drawings, and also view a heat map to see how many items in Procore are associated to each location. The Locations feature is accessible from both the Project level Admin tool, and the Drawings tool.
