View the Map Dashboard

Objective

To view the Map dashboard to track the locations of people and projects in Workforce Planning.

Background

The Map dashboard in Workforce Planning can be used to track the location of projects as well as peoples' addresses. This allows you to view the distance between a person's home address and a job site location when creating workforce assignments based on distance.

You can view projects and people on the map, as well as set a radius to identify a person within a certain distance of a project, or identify a project within a certain distance of a person.

  • Additional Information
    • Blue pins represent a project's address.
    • Red pins represent a person's address.
    • Hover over a pin to view the person or project's name.

Steps

Follow these steps to:

View the Map Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
  2. Click Dashboard and select Map.
  3. Filters icon-filter-wfp.png automatically open.
    1. Select what information you want to 'Display'.
      • Projects. Select All, Active, Inactive, or None.
      • People. Select All, Active, Inactive, or None.
    2. Search for specific projects or people.
      • Projects. Enter a project name in the project Search box. Then click the magnifying glass icon or press the ENTER/RETURN key on your keyboard to initiate your search.
      • People. Enter a person's name in the people Search box. Then click the magnifying glass icon or press the ENTER/RETURN key on your keyboard to initiate your search.
    3. Filter the Map.
  4. Alternatively, click the List icon-list-wfp.png icon.
    • Click Projects and select the project location you want to view.
      OR
      Click People and select the person you want to view.

Set a Radius on the Map Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
  2. Click Dashboard and select Map.
  3. Using Filters icon-filter-wfp.png locate the person or project for which you want to set a radius. Click the pin of the person or project for which you want to set a radius.
    OR
    Click the List icon-list-wfp.png icon and select the person or project for which you want to set a radius.
  4. Enter the number of miles for the Radius.
    The radius automatically populates on the map.
