Create a Labor Plan
Objective
To create a labor plan for your project in the Workforce Planning tool.
Background
Creating a labor plan helps to visualize you labor and forecasting needs, and allows you to simplify project setup by bulk creating workforce requests. You can create a labor plan from the Project Details and Assignments Gantt.
After you have created your labor plan and filled your workforce requests, you can make adjustments to your plan by shifting your project or using the Assignments Gantt.

- Required User Permissions
- Only job titles available to the project will populate in the dropdown menu for requests.

Steps
You can create a labor plan from two (2) places in Workforce Planning:
Create a Labor Plan from Project Details
- Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
- Click Projects and select Project List from the drop-down menu.
- Click the project.
- Under 'Create Labor Plan' click Create.
- Enter the information for your labor plan.
Note: If you enter a number for maximum peak workers, the curve will try to not assign more than the entered number at the peak of the curve. - Select your labor curve.
- Click Next.
- If you selected a Custom Curve, click and drag the marker to the desired peak. Then click Next.
- Under the 'Requests' section, enter the information for the workforce requests.
- Click the vertical ellipsis to add rows above or below, copy a row, or delete a row.
Tip
To see more rows at a time, collapse the 'Project Details' section.
- Click the vertical ellipsis to add rows above or below, copy a row, or delete a row.
- Click Add Requests.
Create a Labor Plan from Assignments Gantt
- Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
- Click Assignments and select Gantt from the drop-down list.
- Under the desired project, click the ellipsis , and select Create Labor Plan.
- Enter the information for your labor plan.

- Click Next.
