Search for and Filter Users in the Permissions Tool
Objective
To search for and filter users in the Permissions tool.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the company's Permissions tool.
Steps
Tip
Search terms and applied filters respect each other's parameters. For example, if you apply one or more filters before starting a search, the search results only include items applicable to the filters.Search for Users
- Navigate to the company's Permissions tool.
- Click the User Permissions tab.
- Enter a word in the 'Search' box and press ENTER on your keyboard or click the icon.
The following fields from a user's record can be searched:- Name
- Company Name
- DBA
- Entity Type (EIN/AIN)
- Email Address
- City
- ZIP
- Business Phone
- Cell Phone
- Job Title
- Tags/Keywords
- To clear your search terms, click the X in the 'Search' box.
Filter Users
- Navigate to the company's Permissions tool.
- Click the User Permissions tab.
- Click Add Filter and select one of the following options:
- Active
- Mark the checkbox next to Active to filter the list of users to only show the users who are designated as 'Active'.
OR - Mark the checkbox next to Inactive to filter the list of users to only show the users who are designated as 'Inactive'.
- Mark the checkbox next to Active to filter the list of users to only show the users who are designated as 'Active'.
- Company Permissions
- Mark the checkbox next to one or more of the company permissions templates to filter the list of users by their assigned company permissions templates.
OR - Mark the checkbox next to 'None' to filter the list of users by those who have not yet been assigned a company permissions template.
- Mark the checkbox next to one or more of the company permissions templates to filter the list of users by their assigned company permissions templates.
- Company
- Mark the checkbox next to one or more companies to filter the list of users by their associated companies.
- Default Project Permissions
- Mark the checkbox next to one or more of the project permissions templates to filter the list of users by their default project permissions templates.
OR - Mark the checkbox next to 'None' to filter the list of users by those who have not yet been assigned a default project permissions template.
- Mark the checkbox next to one or more of the project permissions templates to filter the list of users by their default project permissions templates.
- Company Admin
- Mark the checkbox next to Yes to filter the list of users to only show the users who have 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool.
OR - Mark the checkbox next to No to filter the list of users to only show the users who do not have 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool.
- Mark the checkbox next to Yes to filter the list of users to only show the users who have 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool.
- Active
- Press ESC on your keyboard to view the filtered list of users.
- Optional: Repeat the steps above to add more filters.
- To clear one filter, click the X next to its name.
OR
To clear all filters, click Clear All.
