Grouping in My Open Items

Background

The My Open Items tool allows users to organize and categorize tasks by grouping data in the smart grid. Grouping helps streamline information navigation across multiple companies, projects, or item types.

Things to Consider

  • Supported Grouping Criteria: You can group items by categories such as Company Name, Project Name, or Item Type.

  • Collapsible Sections: Grouped sections automatically appear in a collapsed view, allowing you to expand specific categories as needed to sift through details efficiently.

Prerequisites

  • You must have open items assigned to you in Procore.

  • Access to the updated My Open Items interface.

Steps

  1. Navigate to My Open Items.

  2. Click Select a column to group drop-down on the right side of the smart grid.

  3. Select a column from the Group By. This will automatically reorganize the grid into collapsed groups based on your selection.

  4. Click the expand arrow next to a group heading to view its items.

Note: To remove grouping and return to the default list view, click Grouped by and click Reset.
