New 'Active' Checkbox for Custom Submittal Types
Procore has an updated setting in the Submittals Configuration page in the Company level Admin tool. This update added a new 'Active' checkbox in your company account's 'Custom Submittal Types' list (see Create Custom Submittal Types). With this new setting, your company's Procore Administrator can now add a check mark in the 'Active' box to specify whether a Submittal Type appears in the Project level Submittals tool's Type drop-down list. This update was designed to provide administrators with an improved methord for managing the availability of submittal types.
Prior to this release, administrators frequently created classifications that were project specific, which resulted in a number of duplicate submittal types. For example, a submittals type list might contain the types: Product Information, Product Data, Product Data Sheet. This led to end user confusion as to which submittal type to assign to the submittal. With the new 'Active' checkbox, administrators can now limit the options that are available to submittal creators and editors.
