New Option for Submitting Bids by Email

Invited bidders can now submit a bid to Procore by replying to the bid invitation email with an attachment. See Submit a Bid. This means that bidders have an option to submit a bid without needing to log in to Procore's Planroom tool, and bid solicitors can avoid having to track bids that were emailed outside of Procore.



After preparing one or more files to send as their bid submission, an invited bidder can click 'Reply' on the bid invitation email that they received from an account in Procore, attach any necessary files, and send the email to officially submit their bid.

  • The following file types are supported:
    • .pdf
    • .doc
    • .docx
    • .xls
    • .xlsx
    • .zip
    • .ods
    • .odt
    • .fods
    • .fodt
    • .txt

After a bid is submitted by email, the following information is automatically updated in the Bidding tool:

  • The 'Bid Status' for the bidder changes to 'Submitted'
  • The 'Last Activity' field shows the text 'Bid was submitted via email', along with the date and time that the email was sent.


The bid solicitor can then open the bidder's response page to access the submitted files in the Attachments section. See Review Submitted Bids.
