Perform an Action Plan (iOS)

Objective 

To perform an action plan on an iOS mobile device.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Action Plans tool.
      OR
    • 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions with additional granular permissions. See Permissions.
  • Limitations:
    • The action plan cannot be performed while it is in 'Edit' mode.

Steps 

  1. Navigate to the project's Action Plans tool using the Procore app on an iOS mobile device.
  2. Tap the action plan you want to perform.
    Note: Action plans that are in 'Edit' mode have 'Awaiting Changes' banners in the action plans list view.
  3. Review the general information, sections, and items.
    Note: Some sections and items may be unavailable to complete if one or more other items were added with 'Blocking Functionality'. See What is 'Blocking Functionality' in an action plan?
  4. Tap an item to review its information and requirements.
  5. Under 'Records', complete the following for items that require an inspection to be linked to the action plan:
    • Tap +Add next to name of the inspection template (e.g., Site Safety Inspection) to be used.
    • Create the inspection. See Create an Inspection (iOS).
    • Perform the inspection. See Perform an Inspection (iOS).
    • Tap <Back.
    • Tap the X icon to return to the action plan. The inspection is automatically linked to the action plan.
  6. Under 'Records', complete the following for items that require an attachment to be added:
    • Tap +Add next to 'Attachments'.
    • Tap Recents or Browse to locate the file on your device that you want to add to the action plan.
    • Tap the file to attach it to the action plan.
    • To delete an attachment, complete the following:
      • Tap on the attachment you want to delete.
      • Tap Delete.
      • In the 'This Attachment will be deleted' window, tap Delete.
  7. Under 'Records', complete the following for items that require a photo to be added:
    • Tap +Add next to 'Photos'.
    • Tap the icon-camera-circle-mobile.svg Camera icon to take a new photo with your device.
      OR
      Tap the icon-photo-circle-mobile.png Library icon to select an existing photo from your device's library.
  8. To record a signature for an Assignee:
    • To record a signature for an entity ('Contractor', for example):
      • Tap the name of the entity that you want to record a signature for.
      • Tap the blank field under 'Signing for [Entity Name]'.
      • Tap your name or another person's name.
         Note
        • Users with the 'Sign as Action Plan Assignee' granular permission can only select themselves from this menu.
        • If someone (including yourself) is already designated as an assignee, they cannot be selected from this menu.
      • Tap Next.
        • If you selected yourself, add your signature and tap Sign.
          OR
        • If you selected another user, have them add their signature and tap Sign.
           Important
          By tapping "Sign" you are signing this form electronically, and agree that your electronic signature is the equivalent of your manual signature.
    • To record a signature for yourself or another person:
      • Tap your name or another person's name.
      • Tap Next.
        • If you selected yourself, add your signature and tap Sign.
          OR
        • If you selected another user, have them add their signature and tap Sign.
           Important
          By tapping "Sign" you are signing this form electronically, and agree that your electronic signature is the equivalent of your manual signature.
  9. After adding a signature to release other items to be completed, complete the following:
    • Tap the arrow icon < to return to the action plan's general information, sections, and items.
    • Tap the arrow icon < to return to the Action Plans list view.
    • Swipe down on the screen to refresh the action plan.
      This completes the signature task required by 'Blocking Functionality' and releases the connected items to be completed.
