How does someone become a 'Follower' of a conversation in Procore?

Background

When you are a follower of a conversation in Procore, it is shown in the Conversations tool in your account. See Follow or Unfollow a Conversation. There are a few ways that users can become, or be made, a follower of a conversation.

Note: You can see who is currently following a conversation by clicking on the followers icon-followers-cnvs.png icon while viewing a conversation.

Answer

List of automatic followers by tool

 Important
The list of Followers does not update for changes made to the Assignee, Distribution List, etc. after a conversation is created. If these roles are modified and you would like to add other users as followers, you can mention them in the conversation to automatically make them followers.
