Integration by Procore: Sync Procore Projects with Viewpoint® Spectrum® Jobs

Objective

To sync a Procore project with a Viewpoint® Spectrum®  job. 

Background

The are two methods for syncing projects and jobs:

• Integration by Procore: Add a Procore Project to Viewpoint® Spectrum®. You can create a new project in Procore and then export it to create a new job in Viewpoint® Spectrum® . 
  OR
• Integration by Procore: Add a Viewpoint® Spectrum® Job to Procore. You can create a new job in Viewpoint® Spectrum®  and then export it to create a new project in Procore. 

Things to Consider

• Required User Permission:
  • 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the company's ERP Integrations tool.
    AND
  • The person's account must be granted the 'Can Push to Accounting' privilege in the Company Directory. See Grant Accounting Approver Privileges.
• Limitations:
  • You can only link new Viewpoint® Spectrum® jobs to new Procore projects (or new Procore projects to new jobs).
  • You cannot link new or existing Viewpoint® Spectrum® jobs to existing Procore projects. 
  • You cannot link new or existing Procore projects to existing Viewpoint® Spectrum® jobs.

Steps

There are two (2) ways to sync a Viewpoint® Spectrum®  job with a Procore project. The steps to follow depend upon whether you create the job/project in Viewpoint® Spectrum®  or Procore: 

• If you want to create a new job in Viewpoint® Spectrum®  and import into Procore, see Integration by Procore: Add a Viewpoint® Spectrum® Job to Procore. 
  AND
• If you want to create a new Procore project and then export it into Viewpoint® Spectrum®, see Integration by Procore: Add a Procore Project to Viewpoint® Spectrum®.
