LOCATIONS

Overview

The Locations tool in Procore's iOS app allows you to select a project location or scan a Procore generated QR code to view items that are associated with a location. Items such as RFIs, punch items, and observations can be created directly from a location.

PRINTING YOUR QR CODES FOR LOCATIONS

To Print the QR Codes:

  1. Begin by creating your locations
    1. Go to your project Admin Tool
    2. Click Locations on the far right
  2. You can either manually add, or do a bulk upload.
    1. If you need assistance loading your locations onto your project, please reach out to Julie Kerns, Miranda Hill or your Project Assistant.
  3. Once your locations are added, click the small QR icon located at the top right of the locations add box.
  4. Select all locations that you need a QR code for and print.
  5. Your Project Assistant should be able to provide appropriate labels for your use.  These labels are specifically made for this function in that they will not leave a sticky film residue on the surface when removed at completion.
BEST PRACTICES / IDEAS
  1. Have a sample location QR printed (from the test project 1234) during your Precon Meeting.  This will allow you to show your subcontractors how to access and use them.
  2. Superintendents should reference the onboarding page for Subcontractors for more details on what can be done through the QR codes on their project. (examples: Daily Log Delivery tracking, etc.)
  3. Reach out to your Project Assistant for labels.  If you use a standard label you run the risk of leaving a sticky film on the surface when removed.
  4. If the labels are too small, consider printing a larger full sheet sized label and using blue tape to mount it to the appropriate surface.
