Specifications
Procore's specifications tool functions similarly to the drawings tool, utilizing Specification Sets to group releases and Specification Sections to track each spec number. It also utilizes text recognition to help you find exactly what you're looking for very quickly. However, one of the best features of the Specifications tool is its ability to recognize required submittals and automatically generate submittal requests with minimal input (compared to manually creating each). While it does still take some time to process all the submittal information, it is by far the best way to generate the bulk of your submittal register early on, and leverage Procore to do the heavy lifting in terms of requesting submittals well in advance of when you need them. How awesome is that!?!?
Take note that projects which do not have a Prime Consultant are at risk of having multiple current specifications of the same section number. For example, an architect may include a section in their specifications regarding HVAC diffusers, while a consultant may also have a matching spec section with different, yet still relevant info.
