More than a Rolodex
The Directory is the place where information about users, companies, and groups is stored in Procore. Almost every tool pulls information from the Directory, so while seemingly insignificant proper setup and basic maintenance of users and distribution groups can save you, your team, your consultants, and your trade partners a LOT of time over the course of a multi-year project. As a reminder, users needs to be added in the Directory before they can be selected within tools. Users CANNOT be added from other tools such as RFIs. Users and companies added to a Project Directory are also automatically added to the Company Directory.
